Just touching on a couple things. In keeping with my decision to post something here more often to get used to writing, I'm going to do so. So, since I don't have much to say, or an idea for something else interesting to do, I'll just drop a few bits of nothing important here.

For the last month or so, I've had mandatory overtime at work. It hasn't been too bad - generally, an extra hour Monday through Thursday - and a little extra in the paycheck is always nice, but I'm glad it's over. I got more responsibilities put on me (some of which I still haven't had proper training for), and there were a lot of special projects that took up more than an hour a day. Rough going for a little while there, but things have calmed down enough that I should be able to handle it with forty hours a week. We're also getting some part-time help from a couple people in another department, which will likely mean I get less special project stuff added to my workload.

I've been at Aramark for more than six months now (technically, I've only been an Aramark employee for two, but I was there full time for several as a temp). It's not a bad place but, because of someone being let go a couple months ago (the reason they were able to hire me on permanently) whose duties had to be spread around among people whose training in them mainly involved suddenly having to do stuff that they'd never done before, it's been kind of rough. Should smooth out soon enough.

And, after spending half of last year (and more than half of the year before) unemployed, a regular paycheck for actually doing something is nice just in itself.

A friend of mine starting hosting vinyl listening nights about a year ago (a year and a couple weeks; the first one was on another friend's birthday, so this'll be one event whose genesis I might actually be able to remember to the date). Everyone brings a couple of records and he plays them in a local barroom. It's a good time, though that probably has more to do with the people that tend to show up than anything else, but it's been unhealthy for the limited amount of space I have around, because I started buying records (and a Victrola), and I've stumbled across people selling boxes full for relatively low prices. So I've got a ton of records, in various boxes, bags, and stacks. It's gotten hard for me to find a specific record when I'm looking for one, and I just spent half an hour digging through them to find one I've got of music from the '20s. I think it's time to start organizing them, and maybe look into the best shipping method so I can sell some off. I've probably got at least a hundred that I won't actually have any interest in ever listening to, from the boxes and lots (some of which included duplicates, which I also don't need). Might be a good use of the extra time I'll have with overtime being over. I'll probably mention something here when I get to the point of selling them, as well as over on Facebook, in case anyone's interested.

There's another vinyl listening night coming up this week, and I'm not sure what to bring. Debating between the '20s music and some Bellafonte. Probably will wind up randomly picking something else entirely by the time it rolls around.

...

Guess that's it for now. I've just been working and playing a lot of Neverwinter Nights 2 lately, and clearly I don't have anything interesting to talk about. If I don't have any thoughts by next week, maybe I'll just come up with a short scene to write or something, just to throw up something a little different on here instead of this sort of pointlessness.
