I love Adam. I can't believe they killed him! What is a point of bringing new characters with new powers if the old ones are left underdeveloped and confused? Do the writers know what they are doing? Even "Lost" is less confusing than Heroes now.

I think they just love introducing new powers. They don't care about characters. Don't know what to do with the ones they have. But every time someone has a bright, shiny idea for a new super power, it has to be immediately incorporated.

When Matt is talking to Daphne, trying to suss out what they are holding over her head, why didn't he read her mind?

When Peter walks in on his dad, who is supposed to be dead, why didn't he read his mind?

Have we abandoned all mind reading in this show, because it doesn't have pretty lights and eyeball diving going on? (Okay, the eyeball diving was kind of cool.)

I'm glad someone else remembers when Heroes was a smart show. It was multi-layered - if you just wanted to watch television and not think, you could enjoy it. But if you liked to be challenged, Heroes was the show for you. One week, they'd do something and you'd think "Aha! An inconsistency! They've screwed up!" and the next week there'd be an explanation. If you were trying to figure things out, you had to be on your toes every step of the way, and they still had "gotcha" moments. It was brilliant ( ... )

Excellent questions!

Pretty much every week someone forgets they have a power just because otherwise the plot would fall apart. It's just sloppy writing.

I can almost understand it when it's Peter or Sylar...they have so many that they're fundamentally broken characters - it's impossible to concoct a plot they couldn't poke holes in. Matt, though? He only has the one. They really should remember it.

Girlfriend and I really did almost turn off the television after the Adam scene. I'm so pissed that they'd do that out of the blue to a character who had all this build-up and potential for other plots. I'm also mad that Adam, who used to be a rather good fighter - both with weapons and hand to hand - was shoved around so easily. Couldn't he have taken Knox when the two were alone? Tsk.

I hope the creator sees his error and does something about it. Not sure what could be done, unless when Arthur dies or something everyone's powers go back to them (not a great idea, but it's better than Adam being left out of the show).

It was unfortunate, too, because as the opening credits were rolling, my girlfriend looked at me and said, "It worries me that Adam's actor is still listed as a guest star." Well. Guess this explains why.

Adam was so well developed and had such potential. I wanted to see him interact with Hiro and Ando. I wanted him to talk to Claire about what it's like to live forever. I wanted to find out what he had been doing for the past 400 years.

It's such a stupid, senseless waste.

I came back to read the new comments and the banner ad at the bottom of this page is for the Heroes webisodes.

Yeah, I get that too. The ad program can tell that we're talking about Heroes, but not that we're saying bad things.

I will definitely not be wasting my time on webisodes.

The way they handle deaths in the show is no good. The only exception was Isaac (which I am reminded of due to Hiro's Mr. African Isaac line this week).

So I'm pissed about Adam, and want Peter to STFU and grow a brain. But I still feel like this was actually a good episode, probably one of the best of the season.
