Jared can taste her on Jensen's lips. The cherry lipstick and all too fruity smell that seeps so deep and hard into his stomach he wants to throw up. Jensen's pushing his tongue past Jared's lips, hot and heady, and then the scent becomes all too much to bear. Jared can practically feel her mouth, like she's kissing him, and it's all so wrong.

Jensen's face is covered with confusion when Jared backs away, pressing his hands up and practically pleading for Jensen to just stay away. There are tears in his eyes, moist and thick, threatening to fall. When they finally do, it alarms Jensen, seeing Jared cry.

"Who?" Jared's voice is cracked, broken into pieces that aren't quite as small as his heart that's been smashed on the floor.

Jensen's denying it, his head shaking so fast and hard he's bound to get sick with all the movement. Then Jared gives him a look, just a simple look that screams 'you owe me this.'

"I don't remember her name."

The confirmation is all Jared needs. The tears fall like salty rain down his face and he feels the vomit rising in his throat. He wants to deny it, shake his head and forget the taste and smell of whoever she was, but he can't.

"I loved you," Jared's forcing out, so rough and jagged it could cut through steel.

"I love you," is Jensen's reply and he's stressing the fact that there's nothing past tense about his feelings. "You asked me not to drink last night but, the guys kept pushing and it - She meant nothing, nothing at all."

He wants to believe everything Jensen is saying but it's hard. Jared can barely feel his own breathing anymore, it's all gone numb and the pretty little world of them looks like a fucked up mess.

"Jared, you have to believe me. I don't even remember her name or what she looks like, I'm sorry. Jay, I'm sorry."

The pleading kills Jared. When it can't seem to get any worse, Jensen's putting his hands on Jared's facing, embracing him like the lovers they are. It's hard to fight the melting in his heart, that melding of us and we and love.

Their foreheads are pressed together, noses touching and breaths mingling. "I need you, Jared. I love you," Jensen's whispering.

Jared hates admitting it but he needs Jensen too. He needs him more than he needs air or even life itself. He's forgotten life beyond Jensen and beyond the 'them' they created out of 'you' and 'me.' He's not Jared, not anymore. They're Jared and Jensen, lovers, everything. Whoever she was, she was nothing, and Jared can't fight the forgiveness he feels because he loves Jensen that fucking much.
