so we're in the middle ( Read more... )

Holy shit, dude! Kudos, grats, and everything that goes with it. Hope it works out for you. If you do have to move away, we'd miss you, but as long as you came back to visit a lot, we could probably live with it.

Also... if you're having to move up there on short notice for a job, I think it's kind of their obligation to put you up somewhere until you find your own place to stay (and pay your moving expenses, I should hope). I know people all over the damned country, but for the life of me, I can't remember knowing anybody who lives in Seattle. At least, not personally. :P

oh yeah, that's one of the first things i asked about - the relocation package... the staffing firm stated they would help out with that... i just need to get some further details about it to make sure, i think they pay for a plane ticket and 2 weeks boarding at a hotel. my poker boss said he knows some people up there and might be able to hook me up... hell i might start a poker league up there! haha... can't wait to see you on saturday, you rock! and i suggest bass... henry and i would kill the heineken by ourselves otherwise.

Holy Shit!

Good luck man, M$ is one of those golden pots at the end of the rainbow jobs, and Seattle is absofugginlutely gorgeous all times of the year.

I still have dreams about the pacific northwest regularly...hence the screen name....

I used to have relatives up there, but they all died.

i need to talk to you more about that... i'm actually deathly afraid of seattle because of all the moisture and it possibly kicking in my asthma into high gear. sucks that your relatives are all dead, maybe i'll check 'em out in the afterlife... as anti-ms as i've been in the past, i can't deny their corporate awesomeness. once i have this under my belt, i should pretty much be able to go anywhere...i'd really like to be a direct hire of MS if possible, but i'll work my ass off to make it happen by the end of year contract, if not sooner.
and just to make sure - american gods this friday at the sets, right?

Aye, matey.

I grew up with bronchitis and asthma as a child here, but never experienced it when living in Seattle, Ritzville or Anchorage. Your mileage may vary, but the air is much cleaner up there.
