Tomorrow is my fourth chemo session, the last planned visit before I have another scan and we determine where the disease is at. The last session was rough. The nausea was really bad. I bought the Jack Kirby's Fourth World Omnibus 1 & 2. It's the greatest comic ever that I can't recommend to a lot of my friends. To clarify, it's the best story and art of it's kind, but it's a style that most of my friends strongly dislike. It's about 1/3 information about the production of meat products in modern society, 1/3 the author's personal feelings about how people ought to relate to the animals they eat and 1/3 recipes. Had chemo training yesterday. which was informative without being terrifying. Got prescriptions for some very strong anti-nausea and anti-anxiety drugs which was darn sporting of them. I was also told that if that doesn't work I can come in and get some stuff through the IV. Apparently getting sick is not acceptable for them. After that I had my ( Read more... )
