Alrighty, where was I? Oh yes, I left off at watching Silent Hill with Rachael. That was quite fun--watching horror movies with a Shakespeare person is always fun because you get to point out all the phallic symbols, which ends up with jokes like "Scale the penis!" in reference to ladders. Still reading for English, finished "The Ten Commandments," saw "The Prince of Egypt" (which I think I like more because I find it more...believable, well-researched and realistic in some ways), and "How to Tame Your Dragon" (which is epically cute). I need to get this off my chest; good chance I'll privatize it later out of embarrassment.
Why is it so many people I've met have told me I'll succeed? How can they believe I'll be successful when I can barely believe it myself? How can they believe in me more than I do?
I love this school, but I just don't think I can do it. I'm supposed to flourish at college. Where is the flourishing? I'm tired of floundering, but I don't know ( Read more... )
