Listen James, you want to talk about not knowing what to do with your life take a look at me. In a matter of a year I went from being a pre-law student, to a pharmacy tech student, to attending a paramedic academy, to attending hair school. What you thought you wanted to do with your life when you were in high school may not be what you end up doing. The average college student changes their major 7 times. So it appears on the outside to look like you're not going anywhere but you have to stick with it, eventually you'll be sitting at home one day eating some oysters and you'll be like "holy shit, I need to go to school to be a (insert job here

Well, if it makes you feel any better, i think everyone goes through phases where they think nothing in their life will ever go right and nothing significant will happen to them. I have gone through that too.. quite a few times. But then something happens and you find a purpose again. If you pursue what you like when it comes at you, i think that is answering this: Why can't I just listen to my own heart and figure out what I want/need on my own?
