No, not really. If I wanted to listen to it, I listen to the radio. The music I have on my computer is for doing work or writing. I can't focus one shit with American music, or anything with language I can understand because I've trained myself too well to process what is being said into pictures immediately so it can mess up everything when I'm trying to focus. Hence, songs in a language I don't speak or it has to be purely musical. :)
I have to say my writing's not as good as yours when we take the time element away.
I always hear songs in terms of one overall theme that doesn't even necessarily fit with the actual lyrics, so listening to whatever is fine so long as the music isn't totally dissonant with what I'm trying to write. :3
And by that you mean, add in a very quickly approaching deadline? xD I've always been rather proud of my ability to bullshit, and that's basically what this meme shows~ Hah, I still remember the time I ass-pulled a rather detailed analysis of some passage in The Once and Future King being a reference to baby Jesus in soph year...
Yeah... that part of my brain's dysfunctional, remember? XD Words sound like noise unless I'm actively processing them and well my brain's default is to try to process it. I never here theme's mostly just details. The theme comes later after I review a hardcopy of the lyrics. XDD It's such a pain~
:D I'm jealous!! XD Wow. Yeah I can't BS my way out of trouble.
Ooh, combining Yami no Matsuei and Gackt... I'm in fangirl heaven! ^_^ Seriously though, I really liked these drabbles. I envy writers who have the talent to say so much in just a few words. The "Asrun Dream" one is my favorite. I always enjoy the way you write Nagare.
Thank you! ♥ -blush- Yeah, if I had to pick a favorite it would be that one. You should read it and listen to Asrun Dream or at least look up the lyrics on Mina-P's translation archive. :D
Oh yes, I could hear each Gackt song in my head as I read these drabbles. I'm such a hopeless fangirl. ^_^ Your writings went really well with the songs! For instance, the raw desperation in the "Last Song" drabble matched perfectly with the way Gackt sings the Seventh Night version... no matter how many times I hear it, I still wince at the way Gackt's voice cracks at the end. That's probably why I usually prefer the original version of Last Song from the Crescent album, but for your drabble it actually worked out better that it was the Seventh Night version, because of the raw feeling. Okay, I'm going to stop obsessing now. XD
\o/ YAY! FEEDBACK. :D I'm so glad someone has similar musical tastes to me. XD Yeah, I noticed how Gackt cracks at the end too... that's why I like this version better... because I can't understand a lick of Japanese but I understand that feeling. XD
You can obsess at me about Gackt all dayyy. I love Gackt too! :DD
