it is a very good article. while i believe it does a good job of adressing the fundamental issue of 9/11. innocent people were killed. and the perpatrators by no means should just be able to go on with their lives. however i worry that there are constantly these connections made between iraq and 9/11. the terrorists were not from iraq and sudham is not osama. in fact i think they hate each other. one is a religous extremist and the other a complete secularist. i think its very dangerous that we keep these two issues so closely related. it just makes it that much easier for war to seem justified in this case. everyones just like "nuke em!" but do they really have any clue!!! we choose iraq rather than any other country cause they are poor. north korea has fucking nuclear weapons and we certainly were going to go in that direction. oil is the issue not terrorists. we have been bombing iraq for years and now people love it. its just so sad that so much of our country and other countries can be so jaded and ignorant. where are you going?! and yeah, obviously the war is a huge farse. mostly i liked his point of view that the entirety of europe owes the US government it's lives and well being, and who are the first two countries to NEVER support us?? france and germany. (on the otherhand, this time they are right)

yeah i do agree with that whole part too. it just blows my mind how many people probablly think the terrorists were from iraq and thats why we are going to war... but anyway totally agree! its sad. but i am going home for spring break! yay. talk to everyone when i get back.

i agree with the whole blaming the entire thing on iraq. they're not completely at fault. but nix, just to clarify, although the 2 appear to support very different things, the organizations within both countries support one another's ideals (they both despise the US and every aspect of our culture, and want nothing more than to see us perish, along with those who are innocent in their countries as well for supporting american pop culture). although i think that it is wrong for us to say that this war is to stop terrorism (because terrorism will never be stopped), something needs to be done to prove that we're serious....and i mean to everyone who is a threat to us, including n.korea. that's where i think bush has messed up. he's turned everything solely on iraq in a means to finish the war that his father started and never finished, when the real issue is stopping terrorism and eliminating threats of nuclear destruction from all countries who are a threat to us.
