It's a good trailer, but I'm seeing a lot of people reacting to this like something really terrible and I can't understand why, probably it's because the music is a little bit "pop", and it seems like a celebration of P. T. Barnum
But I feel like the main reason it's because it have Zendaya and Zefron
I don't think it has anything to do with Zac and Zendaya. Some people don't like musicals and some are just trolls who enjoy trashing movie trailers. The trailer is getting positive response from theater geeks. I don't expect a general audience to get this movie however anyone who loves Moulin Rouge is going to love Greatest Showman.
It resembles American Horror Story Season 4, Freakshow. If it's anything like AHS, the movie will focus on how Freakshows have historically objectified the unusual and strange while simultaneously providing acceptance through objectification, or looking, and a sense of community for the performers. People who would normally eschew different-looking people came to be captivated by them. It's a fascinating phenomenon.
Personally I love AHS, so this is right up my alley. And I get to hear Zac sing!!! And, of course, he looks like the Romantic Hero in these shots, and I'm a sucker for the Romantic Hero, even though my fellow writers go bleh, lol.
PS: I don't know about theater geeks but theater queens will love it!

Personally I love AHS, so this is right up my alley. And I get to hear Zac sing!!!
