There is a rumor that Wegmans may be opening a store in Massachusetts sometime in 2011 and they do seem to treat their employees well from what I've seen. Not sure where in the state it'll be (Worcester is what's being speculated in the rumors) but if it's anywhere possible for you, it might be worth checking out.

Quite a few of us have heard about Wegman's coming into the area. Some friends at Whole Foods have said that Westford is the possible location.

Our hope is that Supervalu will sell of our chain (I'm currently back at a Star Market location), and that several players are looking to buy us because of great store locations in the city. There aren't a lot of places that a chain can build out within Boston, or Cambridge. That makes our banner extremely attractive. Hopefully, it won't be another Wal-Mart type of situation... :/
