Okay. Yes. I realize some of you don't have facebook, which is where I've done most of my mini-updates on this whole pregnancy thing. I keep forgetting I have twitter too. I really need to make use of this whole Lifestream thing better since I updated AIM. In any case, here's what's news ( Read more... )

Renee is my middle name, though. I'm not going to do that, give the kid the same middle name that I have. Like I said, that's where I got the Lauren name from.

Lawrence - wrence + u + Renee - ee = Lauren.

Complicated name creation math problem for the win! I kind of like Lauren Faye. Of course, I've also been stuck on loving the name Jesse, but I can't quite seem to get the husband man as interested in it. Nor is he as keen on nicknames as I am, else I'd suggest the name Jessica with the stipulation that I'm allowed to call her Jesse as a nickname. He's a Dune fan. I might be able to sell him on that point, with Jessica, but I'm not sure about the Jesse nickname.

Still pretty. Jessica is my oldest's name, so I'm a bit partial to that one. My younger daughter has the same name as your grandmother.

To be completely honest with you...

I'm still not 100% on Riley either. I keep changing my mind between Riley, Ripley or Ridley.

I like Riley for its simplicity, but I don't like it because I'm starting to realize that it's really a rather common name.

I like Ridley because it's different, and it's one of the bosses in Metroid. Plus it lends to it the word "riddle," which I like. But I don't like it because it's not quite as easy to say as simply Riley.

I like Ripley because I'm a huge geek and love the Alien movies. It's also different. But I've been told it can lend to it bad nicknames like Ripley the Ripper (as in She Farts A Lot) and other such things.

Those are the top three R names we like, though. We just can't decide on which one we like best, which is easiest to say, which rolls off the tongue best and other such factors.

Names are so hard we went back and forth on Lilli's name for months. Tradition in my family is the oldest daughter has Ann somewhere in her name, I'm katherine Ann, my mom was Beth Ann.....I loved the name Lily but Lilian Ann or Lily Ann sounded so strange so she became Lillianna Claire.

Drew we were so shocked we were having a boy that I didn't have a boys name picked out...he was supposed to be Sophia or Zoe...It took weeks, then one day Brian came home and told me he had the perfect name and I said I did to...we both picked Andrew...so he became Andrew Christopher (I wanted to name my first son Christopher after my cousin but Chris Swiss is just SOOOOO wrong).

My sister has changed almost all of her kids names after they were born...Isabelle didn't look like a "kelsey" so she wasn't....::laughs::

Good luck and I'm sure whatever you pick will be awesome.

I do like Jayne though.
