Broken heart

Heya, maybe you can just ignore the subject there.
So, why am I here again? Well tbh I don't really know how to use a tumblr (duh).Since I've been granted with the free times to do this, so here I am updating my LJ yet again. The entry today is supposed to be on the subject pertaining to how to continue your doctorate in Japan. I need to write this, as to remind myself that I am so freaking serious about it. I really have to. So, I was thinking on choosing between Japan and New Zealand. Japan, is because it's my dream country (but there's an entrance exam for it!Oh my), and New Zealand would be my second choice in case I didn't get to go to Japan.

What have I done so far? Research. I need to decide on which subject to pursue since phd is like a deciding factor towards the path of your future. I was really keen in pursuing on the topic of Sustainable design, and maybe risk management (either two are okay for me). The real problem lies on the topic of my research proposal. There's like too close to none info on how to pursue your doctorate in Japan by Malaysian fellas. There's also question on how to obtain other scholar for the studies.Well I am pretty much still in the dark and I really need some light (like seriously). I haven't really disclosed my intention like clearly to my parent (yet). I also kinda need to sit for my IELTS. Well, should I visit the university? But I really hate going there unprepare. I do think I really need a lengthy research for this matters. I'll update soon.

Alright, I am gonna short listed which university is appropriate for the course that I am aimimg for.

1)Graduate School of Engineering and Design major in architecture. Hosei University.
My first impression is the school focus more on architecture (which is not my major is honestly. Interior and architecture are two different matters. But, they also cover the topic of sustainability (idk to which extend tho).
Comprehensive sustainability assessment of buildings.
"Entrance exams include written and oral components intended to measure the candidate’s Japanese-language proficiency"

2)Architecture and building engineering major. Nippon Institute of Technology.
There's living environment and architecture department. However, the subject was more concentrated on the spatial planning of architecture, compare to the subject of sustainability in general. They actually have something called environmental material, but I don't think this is it. But on the better side, there's a various option for scholarship.
"The applicant must become proficient at writing in both hiragana and katakana beforebeginning study at NIT."
"A Study Plan, written by the applicant, must be prepared and submitted prior tothe interview"

3)Construction Engineering. Meijio University.
Well, sadly I couldn't find much on the information regarding the course. But there is a research institute on risk mitigation. Also, there's an entrance examination needed as well as the number of screening before the exam itself. There's a lot of scholarship mention, but I haven't noticed on MEXT.

4)Graduate school of creative science and Engineering Waseda University

Well the topics kinda interest me in a way (I'm considering this university too since it's in the top 100 in the world ranking university. But I'm not so sure if this is the best for me? I mean architecture itself is hard.

This two topics might work.

I find the info a bit confusing. I mean the lectures are conducted in japanese? Oh god, no.

"Research students with the “Student” residence status can take courses for up to one year due to restrictions of the Immigration Bureau. If they took courses as research students at any other universities and wish to take courses as research students at Waseda University next year, their status of residence for another year may not be changed or extended in the majority of cases due to restrictions of the Immigration Bureau. Confirm the details with the Immigration Bureau. * In order to obtain the “Student” residence status, research students must take at least 10 hours of the courses (7 courses together with specialized courses offered by the Graduate School of Fundamental/Creative/Advanced Science and Engineering, Japanese language courses offered by the Center for Japanese Language, etc.) per one week (If they receive research instruction, they can obtain the “Student” residence status without taking any other courses)."- I don't get this.

See the screening fees. I can only skip this if I ever obtain a MEXT scholarship (well If I don't get it, I can just say goodbye to phd in Japan)

hmm, I don't see anything mentioned about a test that I need to sit for the admission. But on the other hand there's sth bothering me.

5)Division of Architectural and structural design (Laboratory of Building environment) Hokkaido university
