Oh well I'm on my way to Okayama while riding this JR line from Tsuyama to Okayama. The journey was tiring because this isn't anything that could ressemble a shinkansen. I just feel like I had tour most of the part of Tottori.
You can refer to the drp pin on the map. That enough about today! So on the 3rd day that is when all goes wrong! I promised myself to find that new bridge of Fuji san, but with my poor skills in navigating and the way how my phone didn't want to cooperate with me, all of that went wrong. I kept on walking to a wrong path for 22km with the harsh wind keep blowing on my face! I was even planing to go to the pagoda afterward, but sadly the train schedule was pretty sucks! I was tight on schedule since I need to catch a return bus at 10.20am too. After I had wasted all of my energy walking hopelessly, I decided to just turn back once the clock reach 830am. I was pretty much thinking that hey, I got at least 2 hours left so I should buy myself a ticket to see the pagoda. So, I did but I have to cancel it since the train schedule was not helping at all. So I went back to my hostel, packed my stuff, and was actually this close to make it for my bus. But the bus wasn't even there at all, so I kept on waiting with this huge number of Chinese tourist too. I arrived at Shinjuku bus station at 12.15pm and it was quite late too, since the bus was supposed to arrive at 11.55am. I was once again on an amazing race since I need to be at the Ghibli Museuem at 2pm. I went to the shinjuku tourist Information counter to ask on TOEI pass, and the place to perform my prayer. But as always I didn't manage to find the TOEI pass and instead I went to the mall to pray. I met a Malaysian family afterward who was there for her entrance exam. We chatted a bit and it was already 1.15pm. I was pretty much knew that I'm gonna be late at that time. My plan was actually to ditch my luggage at the hostel since the station location was in the same line as Mitaka (Jr chuo line), but me being me, I ride on the wrong platform! I was beyond mad at the time and I didn't really think I could make it for Ghibli. It was such a shame and I was pretty much feeling so frustrated because of my stupid mistakes. But, all of a sudden I got a sudden urge to just went ahead with to Mitaka station and be damn with it. I've also trying to google out the info on the admission time and was so glad it was actually at 2.30pm. I arrived at Mitaka at 2.15pm and went to store my luggage at the coin lockers. Then I head out and hailed a cab! The ojisan was a nice fellow who kept on chatting with me. The ride was about 700 yen and I manage to arrive there at 2.25pm. There were a lot of tourist and the admission time wasn't that strict that I used to imagine it would have been. Once I was inside, they gave me a film like ticket that was so beautiful and awesome as Ghibli could have been!
The inside was so beautiful, but it was a pity that we couldn't take any pictures inside of the museum. The displayed was unbelievable and nothing that you might find there would bore you! The interactive displayed was pretty much blown me away!
I could actually talk about this all night long too! The building was a four storey height with extended garden and restaurant. It was divided into different category such as the author work, the manuscript, the workstation, the references, the miniature model of ghibli film, the gallery, the garden, restaurant, the shop, playground and the mini auditorium for the movie. I stayed for one and a half hours before boarding the Ghibli bus to the Mitaka Station.
I took the yellow bus to get to Mitaka station and head to Okubo station to rest a bit in my hostel (Holiday view inn).I stayed in a 8 female bunk bed for 2 nights.
*Location wise was a bit far from the station and you might get lost in the way!But you can find a halal kebab store in front of the Okubo station, drug store, 7E, family mart, clothing shops, grocery store, trully a hot spot for Korean people since it's also a couple of minutes away from the Korean town (Shin Okubo).
The hostel was operated by a Philippines co-join with japanese owner (maybe). All the facilities was alright, but the cleanliness was not!It was so lively at night too.The bed was creaking too much.
Then I went to the Tokyo tower and met with so many Malaysian there.I managed to see the One piece Chopper illumination and bought my Strawberry ginza and another snacks there. On the way back I managed to stock up my groceries for souvenirs too.
