This kinda feel like I'm cheating, but I do feel like writing today since I'm too stress to handle this client of mine.
I was beyond tired from my journey last night and to top it off I couldn't really get a wink of sleep too because the bed was creaking far too much. I could even tell that two of my housemate returned late that night, so I ended up writing my notes instead. I saw on facebook that RTJ's founder had posted up about the weekend bazaar in Tokyo and to ask if anyone was free for a meet up. So I replied to him with okay-ed. But still, I needed to actually fullfill my Kimi No Na Wa pilgrimage since I had actually messed up my schedule before. I woke up at 6.00AM reluctantly and prepare myself for the day. The first location was at Shinjuku Gyeonmae exit. I wanted to trace back the restaurant where Taki was working in the movie, but it was quite hard to find the exact spot (it was becoming worse since I am so fail at navigating myself). I had to ask the staff at Lawson for the direction to the restaurant, but sadly they couldn't assists me with my searching but I really appreciated the help tho. The store was quite busy too, but the staff were willing to spend their time for me. I also asked them about Tottoro's house ticket in Nagoya, but it couldn't be purchased there sadly. The staff advised me to go back to Shinjuku station instead, but I was firm with my decision and decided to try my luck. Finally, after a bit of walking, I managed to find the exact spot of the restaurant. While I was there, taking some pictures, I happened to see another person doing the same things. Luckily for us that the store had not yet opened during that time or we could be sued for inveding their privacy (lol). So, I walked to her and ask her rather joyfully if she was there for Kimi no na wa. She answered me with a yes and I couldn't help but to squeal happily. She was from HK and was almost 90% done with her pilgrimage in Tokyo area and she was giving me some tips for me to find the spot that I needed. I was quite amazed with her, but I knew that I won't have time to retrace back the whole spot that she had went to. I also asked her about the Jinja shrine and how to get to the place. I thought of riding a train to Yotsuya station, but luckily with her insitence, I did not, since the place was like a 10 minutes walk from the cafe. I bid her farewell and continue my stroll to Yotsuya. The windy breeze was too much for me, it's wrapping my thin frame rather coldly. I used google maps and navigate myself there. I saw Yotsuya station after some walking. Well, to get to the shrine you need to pass upon the housing area and it was just happen to be that there was a construction going on within the area. The workers tho were polite enough to give way to the pedesterian who were using the road to get through their destination. After a 5 minutes walk from the spot, I manage to find the jinja, but sadly the steps of staircase was nowhere to be found. So, I walk through the area, investigating. I saw two peoples on the exact spot, so I ask the one near to me if she was looking for the same things. Her answer was obviously a yes, but she too couldn't find the steps that I was looking for. Another tourist from HK.
