Travelogue- Perth Day 2

Sep 14, 2018 11:56

I know that this will be called as cheating, but I had no other ways to write on this journal of mine because I was beyond tired each and every single days (excuses!). I was planning to go to Rottnest as early as 730 AM, but I was waiting for my iron, and since Kristy only came at 830, so the initial plan was suspended to 11 AM. I took a train to Fremantle (zone 2 train) at around 10 AM, and arrived there at 1030AM. It was freezing cold in Fremantle and I was so annoyed by the coldness (how could I be annoyed with the nature?). I took a tour by Sealink and had to pay for 60AUD forthe ferry fare. We arrived at the island at 12 PM.I hired a bike for the cost of 18AUD, for 3 hours, since the ferry back to the city was at 4PM. I only managed to cycle for 11KM since the island was so big! I managed to see the Quoka after half an hour of cycling. I accidentally saw a group of tourist from Thailand and China who were looking at one of the Quokka hiding inside the bushes, and so I joined them watching just like that! (talk about being on impulse!). Next I continue to cycle around the cycling path, sometimes I was out of breath from mounting the hills, but sometimes it came as easily as the breath of the wind. Although I was alone, but I enjoyed myself far too much to even bother with the weather and my lack of stamina. There were a number of peoples cycling through the course and some of them that I saw took the shuttle bus, and even train!

I was quite tired from my cycling, so I left Fremantle just after visiting the island. I remember talking to Saki last night, my room mate from Japan. She was saying that she wanted to visit Rottnest too, but due to the bad weather forecast, she didn’t get to go to Rottnest. So I went back to the city and grab my dinner at Woolworths. I just bought a tuna sandwich since I haven’t eating anything from the morning. I bought some chocolates for my sister and went back to Akara. I met Saki in the room again, sobwe talked some more. I knew that she was an architect before, and currently pursuing her dreams to be a wine maker instead. She had went to Albany for her intern training in the wine yard. We were talking for quite a while since I was quite the chatter box (I was alone, okay). She asked me either I wanted to join her for dinner since she was having her hommus and wine. Since I don’t really know what hommus was, so I joined her in the lounge. We were chatting for quite a while and hommus taste awesome. I got to taste the blue cheese and some Turkish food (which I don’t really like). We chatted till 10PM and I heard someone was calling for me, which is none other than Erik. I went to greet him goodnight anyway.
