I like LJ so much better than Facebook. I would have deleted my FB account, but a) it's the only place I ever hear from my mother (and then I only go check it out every once in a while because I can't stand most of what she posts anyway) and b) because I manage the FB pages of several groups of which I'm a member. I haven't posted on it in weeks and only two people have even noticed.

Yeah, FB is fine for some things, but I hate that I always feel like I'm missing things and then it turns out that I am and friends have been posting but it hasn't shown up on my feed. Pisses me off to no end.

Facebook is good for some things but when you want to seriously discuss your depressed kid or your asshat someday ex husband, there is nothing like LJ!

I'm so proud of both your kids and their achievements. The Things will always be awesome. And I am so happy that Thing 2 has a handle on his depression before college because I can't even begin to sort out the mess we're in now here. How could it all go so horribly wrong so quickly?!?

I am, too, though DJ put us through a rough road there for awhile after he graduated. For Zach, the fact that he accomplished what he did in the midst of his battle with depression is nothing short of phenomenal. The road was scary as hell at times, but we got through it. I hope the same for you and Damien <3333
