Do you perchance have a link to that third gender test? It sounds interesting.

Sure do!

Warning: Some of the questions require you to click on a square, where an image will appear briefly then disappear. When the image disappeared, my browser always claimed it couldn't find the page anymore, thereby erasing my test. My solution was to open a separate window, where I would click on those images, but I filled out the test itself separately.

After you take the test, I would also recommend reading the premises behind the test here: http://www.hemingways.org/GIDinfo/sage/tech.htm
It actually recommends you take the test FIVE TIMES IN A ROW in order to mentally exhaust yourself and wear down your defenses. I'm not sure you really want to put that much time into it, but there ya go.

If you're still interested in links, someone put together a huge list of resources on genderqueer/non-binary identities and experiences here. I haven't come anywhere close to reading all of them, but if you're looking for a place to start, someone I trust recommended T-Vox a while back, which is a wiki set up to talk about a bunch of different gender issues, including some pages on genderqueer/nonbinary identities.

If it would help to see something more personalized/individualized, I think angerliz's tumblr could be potentially useful to you? They identify as genderqueer, and based on this post + some scattered comments they've made across their blog, it seems like they thought over/figured out their identity on some of the same terms you're considering (appearance vs. habits vs. internal identity, etc.)? They have a gender tag here and a genderqueer tag here.

idk how helpful any of this will be, but I hope at least one of the links is useful to you!

It doesn't help that society changes what is considered feminine over time. I still remember when girls were allowed to wear pants under their dresses for the walk to school and it was a few more years before we were allowed to just wear slacks. A woman had to wear a hat and gloves to church and never wore slacks. Now I can wear jeans to church and no one questions my femininity.

You've been raised by a man who taught you to think regardless of your gender but I know other people who give their girls the message that they can't do math or think a certain way. I think that sexuality is ingrained but much of gender is learned and changes over time as society changes. And people disregarding the "rules" is what causes many of the changes.
