"I read your blog." I looked at the woman who said that to me, my Mom's cousin. "I found your blog on the Internet." This just didn't mesh for me....I always thing anyone who finds my LiveJournal blog is another LiveJournal user. I had never really thought about others finding my stuff on the Web. I guess that's how it goes!?!
It turns out she is my Mom's cousin T. who lives in Washington (state). She is fun. So are the rest of my relatives there. This is one of the few family reunions I enjoy going to! I was just a little shocked by the fact that she reads my stuff here. I write it knowing that's it's out there to see, but don't expect most of my family members to find it. It's not that the material is top secret or anything. It's just my musings. She found it by searching for information about one of our relatives
Catherine Hagel a relative of ours, who is 112, and the 7th oldest person in the United States.
She also noted that she "knows all about me" and that she thinks I'm smart. Cool. Fun. If you read this, T, get yourself an account so you can comment! Maybe start writing on your own too.
On Saturday, I had a reunion with the other part of my mom's family. Not nearly the excitement, except for meeting my first cousins' son for the first time. He's the first baby of the family in quite some time. A regular cutie. They are a sweet couple too, my cousins. I always appreciate their wit and fun at family events.
