It is kind of creepy and vain to carve myself but it's not like I could charge a customer for one until I knew I could do it.

That's amazing :)

Hope your shoulder gets better.

And I was thinking of you the other day, wanted to ask if you have ever visited www.instructables.com

They have a lot of stuff but if you do a search for Halloween there are a lot of really interesting projects you can do. :)

Ooo animatronics! I really want to try and learn how to undertand all of that to get a lot of non-light movement in displays. I'm being a timid idiot about teaching myself.

Since those tend to be line by line instructions with pictures it may be a good way to learn :)

I have such a hard time seeing you as timid.

Thanks! I'm hoping the doctor will refer me to a chiro, the massages aren't cutting it. I just had an hour massage Friday and came out of it worse.

As someone who must do massage and chiro as a regular maintenance program in addition to sleeping on a sleep number bed, I can tell you not all massage therapists are created equal. Since I started working regularly with Sue, my chiro visits are waaaaaay down to almost nil. If you have an FSA set up with your work/insurance, you can pay for massage out of that with pre-tax dollars. Or you can deduct the cost on your taxes as medical expenses.

Finding the right therapist though makes a world of difference. I'd recommend shying away from the corporate places like Massage Envy or Spa Sydell or Natural Body because they tend to attract inconsistency and low-quality therapists. Massage Envy pays their folks about $10 an hour so they get the dregs of the pool. Spa Sydell has a bad culture and they have insane turnover. I didn't realize what a difference it made before I learned alot about the industry.

Hope your shoulder gets better soon. And holy crap, your pumpkin looks awesome!!
