i know for a fact of someone who is worse off than you...who is living paycheck to paycheck not spending money on anything but to keep the car on the road, so that the job can be gotten too, so that the rent might actually get paid. Someone who doesn't have heat, because all of their money went to gas in the car to get to the jobs so that the car payment was paid and the rent got paid.
There is honestly no keeping up with the jones any more. it's all keeping up with the basics in life so that you have a roof over your head.
and there is no help in sight because the programs just don't have the funds any more to work for a person instead of against them.
There are too many businesses closing to make me think that we as americans are still spend happy on non necessities.
Retail is expecting this to be the leanest year yet, and as evidenced by the fact that none of the retail stores are hiring for holiday help, maybe they are right.
