The movie was netirely about stereotypes, and really I think that was the point. While I've never actually read Sin City, I do know that the comics were an attempt at genre emulation. Film noir to be precise. Now we have a movie emulating comics emulating film noir, a copy of a copy. It's kind of interesting to consider, and I thought that it might be really bad for that very reason. In the end, though, I enjoyed it. It had some rough spots here and there. I liked Marv's story best, too. I also enjoyed Dwight, but thought a lot of the Old Town stuff was a little bit much.

I went in not expecting very much, but was pleasantly surpised by a fun movie. Not high art, but I'd never expect that of a film adaption of a comic. I might even see it again.
