This'll be a short post because I've been 1)struggling to finish Ch.47 of Pretty Face by Wednesday and 2)working nonstop on my damn 10-12 page research paper. I'm doing it over the issue of the birth control pill in Japan, and it's actually pretty interesting, but I can't find any sources that explore the link between Shinto and purity of the body

I'm conflicted ;) I can't decide if my paper (45 single-spaced pages on police corruption + a 30 minute oral presentation on it) was worse. Then again, I shudder at the thought of having to write anything about Japanese (or Chinese for that matter) culture. After watching HERO (well, the first 45 mins.. I had to shut it off.. it was too confusing) I have decided that their cultures are so alien that my commercial-fed brains cannot properly assimilate them. I guess I really am an uncultured primitive screw-head and my mom was right after all!

I hope you mean 4-5 single spaced pages and not 45. That sounds awful, though. ^_^ I might be able to help you with Japanese/Chinese culture stuff, though. I've studied Japanese language and culture for the majority of my time at college, and I know a little bit about (modern) China. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! :)
