Wow but "National Treasure" sucked. I can't believe people actually paid to see this overrated piece of crap. Just rent "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" instead. All the same plot points are there: explorer after fabulous treasure falls for blonde, finds father, fights against evil foreign guys (Nazis/British dude), Knights Templar,

I'm sad to hear about "National Treasure" but my Art of Film teacher was saying the same thing. He was talking to us about how he hoped the director would have spent more time on the historical aspects of the story, and a lot less time on the trivial action sequences. I wonder if the produces of the movie even realize that the biggest draw to see it has to do with the "clues" and finding new meanings in some of our most important documents. Heh, somehow i doubt it. They just started to film another movie like "National Treasure" called "The Da Vinci Code," which is basically the hunt for the descendants of Jesus Christ. Let's hope they get it right this time around...
