Damn you, Spicy Cake!/movie marathon
Just felt the need to curse about those nasty little cakes from Star Ocean 1 (and 2). (If you've played the games, you'll get the refference immediately). I too love this movie.. first because the original idea of these people fighting it out for power while the rest of us just move obliviously through live is fascinating. Too bad they made sequels, and destroyed the whole story in the process.. I bought the DVD for it so long ago, but something is wrong with the sound. No matter how loud I make it, it still sounds like the movie is showing on the far side of a very long tunnel.
I have a few more movies you should see, if you ever have another marathon. As much as I enjoy comedies and all-out-action movies, there is a good deal to be said for a brilliant story and fantastic acting as well.
1. One of Kevin Spacey's Best - Seven, Pay It Forward, American Beauty, K-PAX, Life of David Gale, U.S. Of Leland, L.A. Confidential, The Ref, Consenting Adults, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The guy has done so many great movies, he's a friggin' master of the art. (yes, I know he has had a few flops, but you have to admit...)
