i had to read this story by cynthia ozick called the shawl. it was about these three people in a concentration camp during the jewish holocaust of world war II, although that really is a bit of an insignificant detail and could probably even be argued on several accounts...but like i said, it is an insignificant detail of the story

I've Night and The Men With the Pink Triangle, I've been to the Houston Holocaust Museum, I've seen awful pictures, I've heard stories... and I know there still horrors I can't even imagine... I don't think I can ever understand why people do the things they do.

i know. it is so, unbelievably horrible. i've also read "night" and a couple other books about the holocaust, and i've been to the holocaust museum in washington d.c.
