Great. Just great.

*can be heard groaning and shifting in a chair, clearing his throat, not sounding too good*

What a wonderful time to get food poisoning. *mumbles a little* Musta been the icecream I ate earlier last week... Does icecream have an expiration date?

Of course it has an expiration date. Most things do.

Usually cold things last a long time though..... don't they?

Yeah, but a long time isn't forever. That ice cream must have been sitting in there ignored for a while.

And it looks like your diary was ignored for a while too.

That's odd. Somehow I always assumed that if someone got food poisoning aboard this ship it would have been deliberate.

Maybe you should go to the infirmary? It will be full, soon enough.

I don't need any damn doctor, or someone to look after me. I'm fine.

Perhaps if you did your job instead of fussing with unrelated drivel, you would be healthy now.

That aside, last week? Signs of food poisoning from a dairy product would have shown long before now if that were the case.

Perhaps you have had an adverse reaction to that ridiculous pet of yours. Touching the mouth after having contact with reptiles and amphibians is a fairly common way of contracting salmonella, among other stomach related illnesses. I am fairly sure that our kitchen staff wouldn't do something as negligent as leaving past-expiration ice cream where idiotic members of the crew can get at it.

Report to the infirmary to ensure that this isn't something contagious.

Glad to know that the pink haired Quartermaster cares so much about my well-being!

I didn't get anything from my dragon. You got somethin' against the lizards, Marluxia? Afraid of them?

And no thank you. I can take care of myself sir.

I couldn't care less about your well being.

And no, I don't fear dragons. They fall like anything else at the bite of my scythe. It appears that you have not researched them thoroughly enough before procuring an egg, however.

Ah, so you're going to complain of illness and then not get yourself seen to by a professional? I will count that as work shirking and one strike against you.

Another will result in punishment.

What? A strike?! Look. I can take care of myself, thank you very much. Plus, I'm staying away from people, and I'm getting my own bed rest. I'll be fine.

...from ice cream you had a week ago?

Are you sure it wasn't something more recent?

Maybe... Coulda been something else. I dunno what it could have been though.

From my experience, the worst that happens to ice cream that's been left in the freezer too long is that it gets freezer burn, and food poisoning usually takes less than a week to take effect. It's probably something else.

Well shit.

Hmm. Maybe it was that bread I had. It did have some... yellow and blue things on it.
