Well, it certainly depends on what definition you wish to hear about this topic...

There are many meanings to the ideology of 'helping others' but each one is different depending on the belief of that person.

Well, I'm a doctor...what if helping a person might mean harming them?

There is nothing wrong with causing a few aches and pains if its for the greater good...

As long as you are sure they won't be sue you for malpractice, doctor.

Is killing a person a way to help them, if they're suffering and there just isn't any other way?

I think it means different things depending on the situation. Doing what needs doing and taking the consequences, I suppose.

What if other people don't approve of the way you try to help?

Listen to them in case they're right. If you don't believe they are, then that's what I mean by taking the consequences. If you try to help and other people don't approve, you either have to go with what they say, or do it anyway and take the punishment.

Those are really the only options? And what if I doubt myself as well?

I think of it as a means to make other's lives a little better through my own self sacrifice, which can vary greatly. Why? Do you need any help?

I'm just...confused. I thought I knew, but now I'm not sure.

Hm. You should also know that some people are offended if you help them without their asking. Does your confusion lie somewhere along these lines?

No...it was the opposite really. I was asked for help, but the person said he wanted me to kill him...

I saw you said you're a doctor. I'm one too.

What happened? Did you lose a patient?

I went on an expedition with my crew. We encountered a man whose magic was so powerful that he could barely control it, and was doomed to a life of staying in one place, forever trying to keep his focus on controlling his magic.

He begged me to kill him.
