The Top 5 Shows that Lost their Allure part 1 of 5

This was inspired by greenleofiend who got me started on this rant.

Let's face it: every long running TV show has it's ups and downs. Season 3 of the OC was nearly unbearable. Season 5 of Stargate SG1 actually had me, an avid Daniel fan, ready for Jonas's appearance.  Season 3 of Numb3rs was so dark it had be surprised it was the same show. It just happens. LOL, ow! This show got on your bad side now did it? I hate when shows change their game plan to try to get a vibe while destroying the vibe that got them fans in the first place. And narrow minded power characters ah... There must be a trope for that.

Ah Numb3rs. It started with Robin breaking up with him. Though, I feel that probably was partly because Don was putting his issues on her. I don't know, a bit of both? Either way he was happy with Robin. Glad they got back together. (No disrespect to Liz but it's true. That wasn't his only issue though of course. He had childhood insecurities and commitment issues. LOL

Still have to love Donnie.

haha yeah...I get a little pissy about this one -laughs-

Numb3rs was brilliant. The world needs more crime shows like Numb3rs. Honestly, I love it.
Poor dark Don. Donny Darko?...sorry bad joke.

As a WAT watcher, I'll have to disagree with you on a couple of points. Elena was a terrible character and completely pointless, and trust me I'm not alone here. Speaking as a Jack/Anthony LaPaglia fan and being a female -no, we did not tune in to just see the pretty boys Danny or Martin, far from it. Danny at least had character but Martin was just blandsville and dull.

I do agree that the writers just ran out of steam -there were some awful storylines and plots and some shocking missed opportunities in the later seasons. I still would have liked the extra season (ALP and the other cast members were signed to do 8), just to tidy up the mess we were left with.

haha alright, I'll grant I over generalized to be funny but I do realize mine is not the only opinion. I apologize if I came off a bit too forward. It was in the name of humor. Everything I said was just my opinion. In the future though I will try to make that more clear and not sound like my opinion is everyone's.
You do have a point about Martin though I hate to admit it. I thought he ended up bland but I did like where he started, and I didn't talk about Jack much in this one but I did love him.

Yes, that's how I feel too. It's frustrating.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, I always love a well thought out critic
