" 'm home." Ohno Satoshi opened his apartment door, stepping inside, carelessly threw his cap somewhere around the gekan. He could always clean himself up tomorrow, but he had more urgent matter to settle than just a mere cap.
The room was left in the darkness as he was too lazy to turned on the light, beside he think clearer in the dark. He plopped himself on his favorite purple sofa, taking his phone out, scrolling through it until he found what he was looking for. An email that he wished never existed since the beginning, but it was only his wishful thinking. The email seemed to mock him as he read the attachment one by one, using the dimmed light from his phone.
There were not much in the attachment, only several pictures that were taken from afar. A work of professional paparazzi, the flock that always gather around him or his fellow Arashi members for as long as their 16th year. Even in the darkness, the blurry pictures clearly showed it was him in it. One picture was taken when he just get out of the car, another one when he was about to get into the massage parlor. It wasn't only pictures, but the news following them was also included in the e-mail, a story of how he lived with a girl 10 years his junior. A great story indeed. The way the reporter wrote the story made it easy to read, and believed. They really are making the best rumors, he thought.
"Ah, ken-chan... I read the email, thank you for the hard work, it good to go for tomorrow's gossip column." Ohno cut off the chit chat as he didn't see the benefit of doing so to his own cousin. He listened to his cousin ranting of how he endangered himself by approving the rumors. He knew how much he gambled on such gossip, he clearly understand how crazy Arashi fan, but it was the bet that he willing to take.
His mind wandered off to when the president director called him, showing an uproar picture complete with the speculations in it. A picture was taken during their vsa program, showing he held the youngest member's hand behind their two plus one. He honestly thought he was saved but he shouldn't underestimate their fans and their ability to read the nonexistent.
"I've told you since the beginning that I won't against your relationship but keep it behind the camera." Ohno remembered he looked down to his feet as JE leader himself preaches on him for a good half an hour.
"Hope you understand now and do something to cover this issue. The last thing I want is having people sniffing around Arashi." That was the last warning he got before exited the office with a promise he will take care of it himself.
"Oi, Toshi, did you hear me?" His cousin's voice brought him back from the memory. He quickly apologizes for not completely hearing the other's suggestions.
"Never mind, I knew you can't wait to go to bed. Go then and send my regard to him." Ohno thanked the other again and now he knew the story and pictures will be the first he was looking for tomorrow. He stretched himself up of the sofa, yawning his way to the bedroom. He slowly opened the door, avoiding the possibility of waking the man that had curled on the bed, exhausted from the concert planning, he bet. He soundlessly stripped himself before sneaking under the blanket. His cousin's voice ringed in his ear.
'You knew this can stir more rumors in your fans, didn't you? Is it worth the risk?'
Ohno held his head with one of his hand, his other hand softly stroking the high cheekbone of the sleeping man beside him. If the rumors he created could make the man safe from prying eyes, could make the fact they had been living together for the past three years stay hidden inside the apartment, then yes, it worth all the risk, because he had promised himself he would protect the man with all he has even if it will shut him from the world he lived on now. Yes, Jun worth all the risk.
