It's beautiful and I see why it called out to you! As for the issue of accumulating material things, they are feathers for your nest, to keep you happy and warm when it's cold or wet outside. (You can tell that I'm not a minimalist.)

Thank you!! I knew there was some reason why I had to have it. I am making me a very cosy refuge.

Oooo the painting is pretty

The neighbours came out too so there was 10 of us watching, we saw the ISS go over but then only 6 metorites in 30 minutes. There was alcohol for warming purposes so it wasnt a total loss though.

You saw six????????
I was out in the parkland on my own - or not quite on my own because there was a guy also lurking on the dark side, shuffling around strangely and looking up. And the only thing that moved was a plane.

There was quite a lot of planes too. A lot of sattellites too, we get about two every 5 minutes which is a worrying level of junk in orbit. Thats a fairly normal metorite rate though, everytime these showers happen i never think its especially more than normal levels, not really noticably so i have to say. Three nights ago i saw far more and a massive shooting star that streaked for seconds rather than just an instant like tonight.

You are blessed! It is an Ill-divided world. You got the aurora borealis last time as well. The universe dances for you.

How cold is it that you can't stay out? It's still summer here--beautiful clear night, but we have so many trees we can't see the sky that easily. Though on other occasions in other places we were lucky and also saw five or six meteorites within a half hour. I think you have to be out at just the right time. It's great fun if you can just sit on the ground somewhere in the dark and stare up.

The picture is beautiful, I love those bright clouds and the way the light tints the water. You needed something to christen the newly plastered walls!

Very glad the dog is doing better.

Its cold if you stay out in it, i had a coat and a scarf on and was drinking large quantities of mead for purposes of medicinal fortification.

The nightime fortification here is gin gimlets ;) Maybe that's why I'm having trouble peering through the leaves...

Though it's starting to be noticeable that it's getting dark earlier.

And Meany is in a much warmer part of the world than I am. It was pretty cold last night! I was surprised there was not ground frost this morning.

The picture is lovely - and in real life it it tiny. It is about six inches by three, so a delicate wee thing, and the light draws you in to it.

Good to hear that the puppy dog is improving *pats the puppy dog*

There is absolutely nothing wrong with acquiring More Ebay Things now that you've made so much space in the house by putting Everything Else into storage. There has to be a reward for all your labours and clearly the Pretty Ship Picture is it.

Would be great, but the 54 boxes in storage are coming back too, and will be looking for their spaces. At least these latest prints are tiny.

Sounds like your next Ebay purchase may have to be a Tardis...

The decorators came back this morning at dawn, and are papering the downstairs rooms.

But my bedroom technically is finished, and I have been reassembling it. My bed is fenced in by three huge bookcases, and right now I am wondering if I could lose another couple of hundred books and do without one of the bookcases here.
I was getting used to the minimalist look.
