Early training

I've just realised what this is. On the face of it, it is a child's puzzle; but I have just recognised the same pattern under the desk here, and realised it is actually grown-up training ( Read more... )

Printers are recalcitrant beasts. You have to show them who's boss.

My question is, where is Rigby in all this?

Could he be the flattened fox in the middle? But he does not look worried about his stolen tool.

Are you sure that's a fox?

That must be Rigby working on your printer!

I have often thought this. The masses of tangled wires that seem to breed under and behind the furniture also remind me of stories of jungle vines. The kind that can not only trip you up, but can ensnare you and strangle you!

Good luck getting your printer working. After all the hassle you endured for the re-wiring process, all your toys crucial technology should function! ;-)

It is going now!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just needed the application of a young man. Husband brought one down this afternoon, and the young man soon had it speaking to the computer again. Was a simple fix!

Poor baby for having a printer that won't print. :-(
I blame the squirrels. It's probably payback for cutting down their tree.
Or possibly the Grand Hat Collective who've not forgiven you for recycling them to charity.
Sadly, this is the seamier side of renovation and re-wiring that no-one every tells you about in advance.
Consider it a life-lesson, dear, (and also consider investing in a typewriter....)

My beloved typewriter is still in the loft, along with a box of ribbons dating back to 1982. I keep them like a lucky charm for dire emergencies, but I suspect they will have dried out totally.

But there was a simple fix - it just needed a young man. Printer is now speaking to the computer, and I may actually get these letters out.

It is a truth universally accepted that many an electronic device can be improved by the addition of a young man - your printer being a case in point. Huzzah! for sourcing an appropriate young man, dear (but I still think you should keep a wary eye out for angry squirrels and hats with a grudge.)

There is some sort of inverse correlation involving the age of the young person and their ability with electronic devices. You need to haul toddlers in off the street to get the video working these days.
But young men generally are useful creatures.
