a) An etching (and in fairness, I didn't buy it three months ago and had been regretting it ever since, so I was delighted the dealer was back with it)
b) A blanket. Don't laugh. A proper, old, heavy, wool traditional blanket, like the ones my grandmothers had and which they don't make nowadays. I feel very grown up buying bedding like that, and it is probably because I look at it and see heat and warmth that we are just not getting.
c) Two other books. One is called something like "Don'ts for Wives" and its is dated 1913, but it is actually a 2000-something reissue. It is hilarious. I would give you some examples, but I've left it in the car and it is just oo cold to go back out.)
One never goes into the city without getting a meal!!
Owl or landscape?
I'm not laughing at your blanket. My mother always had heavy duty down comforters on the beds, they were so warm! Later on she added some alpaca blankets too, I still have one of those.
You can give me examples from the book when the sun comes out :)
Alpaca is beautifully soft. I was an an alpaca show earlier this month, and got a couple of bits, but I'm kicking myself now that I didn't get the gloves.
It is a landscape, quite an unusual one, almost colourless, of an old-style water pump in a grove of cypress or something.
I'll maybe do a post tomorrow, if I don't freeze to death going to the car.
