Book covers day one

elmey nominated me to post covers of seven books I love - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanation or review, just covers. Not sure about the rules either, lee the t has been posting pics of her dustjacketless volumes and I've already complained about the lack of trashy cover pics :D
But I think what you have in the house is the way to go--you can always list the title if it's not visible.

The only Buchan I've read is "39 Steps", and of course I read it after seeing the Hitchcock film. I see this has the same lead character--I love a good suspense/adventure, the cover certainly gives the impression of great excitement!

There is too much action and too many coincidences but the ending is superb.

This is a follow on to 39 Steps and you will know the film bears no relation to the book...

The cover certainly evokes a scene of action and urgency and danger! I peeked at the comments and replies below and read that indeed the story has those elements, which makes me very happy. I hate covers that have so little to do with the book they are on that I've wondered if the artist's commission for some other book got used by mistake!
