Although Nami kicked him in the face so hard and so painfully (but he didn't have a face, SKULL JOKE) Brook knew it had been worth it for a glimpse of those elusive panties.

Lovely stuff with just a slight heart-twinge. Love the Ace-Sabo_luffy dialogue which sounds exactly right, and then tying it together with Ace and Oars is brilliant!

Finally! I don't read much fanfiction (past the occasional chaos thread - now I'm addicted), so to see a little angst from Usopp over Yasopp. Couldn't have been easy for the kid, and no matter how much he loves him... it still hurts. Does Yasopp even know (I would imagine he must)?

Very powerful to me, and a subject I wonder if we'll ever touch in-story.

I really hope he calls his dad out on it when they inevitably all meet up with Shanks and his crew.
And I really don't think Yasopp knows. Because I like to think he's the kind of guy that would drop everything at run to be there for his kid. And I know Shanks would be the kind of captain to make him, even if he didn't want to. XD

I like to think that maybe Yasopp doesn't know, also (because I feel the same way about him, and Shanks), but at the same time part of me still can't help but imagine he does. (I'm one of those how could you not know people, who would then proceed to slap the person with something for not knowing.) I can't tell if that's my liking for a good twist, or because at the same time I also imagine maybe Yasopp - if he does know - did come back to check on Usopp, but it was just kept quiet. (Who knows how long after Usopp's birth he joined that crew, after all. It would be awkward to turn up and say, "Hi, I'm your Dad. I'm here now, but I'll be leaving soon.")

You know, the whole concept of that is genuinely chilling. Giving Akainu a mantra, and especially repeating it at the end. Ooh... *shivers*

Very well-written. :)
