Oh HEY did you see this video of Amber Benson at "LeakyCon" in Portland this year?

She answers two audience questions and around the halfway point says that there was a lack of representation "SPECIFICALLY of lesbians" on tv at the time. Amber fucking ROCKS.

BTW - there was a "gay guy" next to her at the table and it wasn't until the last minute that I realized it was Tom Lenk. (At least I think it was?) And I'll be damned if he's not kind of handsome now.

I love Amber so much, and I think she does all these cons not for the money, but because she knows how much Tara impacted people and that they have a need to tell her and acknowledge her part in their lives.

And Tom Lenk is so charming!

I won't say she doesn't do them for the money as well but what's wrong with that? Why shouldn't she get some income from it? More power to her. I've always respected her for being so aware of how Tara affected fans, and refusing to play Joss' mind-games with the audience. She GOT it; Joss didn't. For Amber it was about the fans and how they were affected; Joss was all about how HE was affected.

I think that's part of my affection for sarah as well as amber - they both focus on how proud they are of the work they did on the show. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

And now I'll actually look for more vids with Tom in them.
