So now I think I need to erect a very large neon light ( or find a tshirt) that reads "damaged goods". I now realise the extent to which I am.

If you are thinking how do I get out of this then generally shouldn't be in it in the first place.

Not so much pity me as. ( although sounds like it eh?) more like a I can't believe I got myself into this situation. sort of post. I don't believe in pity. It never gets anyone anywhere. But maintain I am damaged goods. Serious self introspection showed me things that hadn't occurred to me. Catch up at some point if you have the time. There's always mountain walking.
