Wonderful chapter, wonderful writing (as always of course :)) There's some really evocative, beautifully descriptive language in the chapter above. Love it. Someone, somewhere described reading your work as like rolling in literary chocolate. They're not wrong.

I'm so glad that Kirk has managed to spare some thoughts for Lori, it's the least she deserves.

Ha, he's gone back to his vacation has he? Good for him.

I really hope that you can post chapter 45 soon (fingers crossed for tomorrow), as I can't wait to see what Spock's up to, and hopefully the chapter will tell us. At this stage of the story what Spock is up to is way more interesting than anything that's happening to Kirk. Though I see that you might have dropped hints about it on KS archive ;)
