I'm sure you already know your options here. Though, I am surprised you didn't go ahead and destroy her fun. I get that you want to be a better person, but don't forget that part of breaking up is getting to be vindictive and acting out at least a little bit.
Otherwise, there are TONS of guilds in WoW. True not all of them are very good, but I'm sure a pro like yourself outta be able to find one eventually. Otherwise, there's always other games I suppose. Best of luck.
According to two "friends" (who refuse to speak against the ex), revenge isn't a good thing and only leads to more trouble.
Of course... those telling me to be calm and easy and not to act rashly also seem to be protecting the ex. Why? Exactly how is it that all the blood, sweat, and tears I give to my "friends" isn't enough for them to stand up when someone, even anothe friend, maligns me and say, "Wait, seriously, no. That ain't right."
Looks like I'm about to trim my list of RL friends a bit more than I already have. List of people I can call on in need is getting real short these days.
But hopefully, once I trim away the fat, only the muscle will remain.
I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I suppose these sorts of situations come out from time to time and your learn hard truths from it. Have you already tried to get them to fill in the blanks (explain why she says she's acting a certain way) for you or do they just make excuses for her? Or get them to explain you to her? You've probably already tried this, but worth a mention.
It's also possible some of them are trying to look out for your and help do the "grown up" thing, but it's you'd think there'd be friends sticking up for both sides of the fence at least, not just one.
After putting to them somewhat directly, there's no real answer on why they coddle her. This only leaves me to theorycrafting, and while I'm not normally one for rumormongering, I have only what I am told and what I know for sure to go on
