I think Dave and Mary were already married (just).

Yes, that was the night I met Chris for the first time (properly) and Steve broke his glasses on Prebends Bridge.

I suppose one has to be thankful for small (!) mercies that the yellow dress doesn't show well on scanned photos.

And I loved that dress, I had no idea it would be still a matter of legend so long after its demise.

Thank you for digging this one out of the archives. That little squirt with the beard and the glasses was quite thin in those days.

Actually, it's only 33 years isn't it? start of December 1975.

And Nel's right of course: Dave & Mary had been married for about ten weeks.

Steve - do you think anyone in that picture ISN'T less slim now than they were? My guess would be that we've all spread a bit....

If I were to comment in too much detail I would doubtless be in trouble from all kinds of people including your Dad (they were on a break at the time, honest...) Oddly enough I went out with Mary briefly when she and Dave P had had a tiff. Hmm...pattern developing?

But yeah, your Mum did it for me. As it were. (And wow, does it ever seem weird to be discussing the erotic appeal of past girlfriends with their children.)
