So Axl's claiming that we're finally going to get Chineese Democracy this year, which is something that most people will believe when they see it.

Just for general amusment, I present:

I think the real question is, IF it comes out, is it going to be halfway decent, or is going to be complete and total ass?

I'm leaning more towards the "ass" end of the spectrum, but I don't know if "total and complete" is too harsh or not.
The guy certainly knows how to write some good tunes, but ever since Use Your Illusions he's overcomplicated things. Considering Ch.D. has been brewing for a decade or so, and that the band has been... uh, 'fluid' throughout, I'm going to guess that the upcoming album is suffering horribly from overcomplication.
In the Rolling Stone article (available online) that I snagged the pic from, he admits a bunch of the tracks won't necessarily sound like Guns. They might be technically advanced, good songs - but I don't know if the album will be worth picking up or not.
Hopefully we'll be able to find out soon.

Somehow, I see many resemlences between "uncool" Axl, and a Mr. Iniquitous. Grow your hair and eyebrows out.... get a big chain... Yeah, I'm seeing the new You. :) *chuckles*
