And bigger apartment leads to thoughts that are in no way compatible with "I'll just spend less money on other things". Like, if I had a bigger apartment, I could have a dog. If I had a bigger apartment, I could get a TV and not have it in my bedroom (am going to get one anyway. And having a TV involves not only paying for the TV, but also for Billag.). And to properly enjoy TV, I would need a couch, for which I would then have room. And because I would get fat sitting on the couch eating chips and watching TV, I would have to get a stationary bike/hometrainer to exercise in front of the TV. To motivate myself to exercise, I would have to get shiny HD DVDs to watch while I exercise.
It sounds so tempting. But if you are working so much to be able to afford it then you'll enver be there to enjoy it. But on hte other hand if you really love your apt, then that's a really nice feeling. Arg! Catch 22! While feeding my landlords cat this past weekend I was wandering around his apt upstairs from mine. He moved out months ago to strip all the lead paint and redo everything, all new appliances and cabinets. (the cat was staying there while he was away so I could feed him) and I was thinking how nice it would be to move in upstairs to the brand new apt and maybe if I made it sound like I was doing HIM a favor of moving so he could re do my apt then maybe he'd rent it to me for what I'm paying now. The new pat is going to be SO MUCH MORE than mine. But then I went back downstairs and say all my CRAP and thought of voluntarily moving it all upstairs and that gave me a head ache! :) lol

Bwaha. My new apartment is about that much more expensive too. But it's also BIGGER! And NICER! And BETTER! Just like yours. :p
