I have been so insecure lately, it's ridiculous. I've come back to the conclusion that I either have very few friends with substance in my life or I repel most people, I am unloveable, maybe worse, unlikeable. No matter which scenario I choose it's scary and unsettling. And so here, I believe, is the wall

You aren't unlovable :( You are one of my bestest friends. You and Natalie are the few people from home that I make sure I get in touch with AT LEAST once a week. Which says a lot because everyone else I like I rarely talk to at all and sort of feel like we are moving in different directions... I dunno. I love you! So that means that you aren't unlovable since there is in fact someone out there who does care for you very much. You're just in a rut right now but you will bounce back soon enough, I promise. <3

In my experience you seem to connect with people very easily. You are kind, caring, intelligent and genuinely interested in people, so there is no reason at all why people wouldn't want to be close to you.

I worry about you when you say you want to be 'normal', because I would hate for you to change who you are. I realise that this is one of those patronising things older people say, but the way you relate to people really does change a lot at university. You meet people more like you, and people so different from each other, and it's great for boosting your self-confidence.

I just know you are going to go away and have an amazing time at university

And I certainly hope University is different. I couldn't take four more years of high school!! haha.

I agree that University is a totally different experience. There is a much wider variety of people and more acceptance of individuality, unlike school where people expect you to 'fit in'. I've made some really great friends at Uni.

I'm afraid I don't really understand. I'm occasionally busy, yes. But I am also VERY loyal to the people I care about. I guess that would be clearer if you were in the same town with me and whatnot. I try to be steadfast, anyway. But Idk. haha.
