Still.. Every bit of (quasi-) canon I can find adds to the whole picture of the world, the characters, their bonds with each other. I can't imagine anything without the extra bits that aren't mentioned (maybe just felt / read between the lines) anymore, and by time it gets irritably hard to separate one from the other, because the whole stories and interactions between the protagonists are woven rather well.
Do canon and quasi-canon make a difference to you?
Yup! If it's quasi-canon I can use for my fics, I treat it as canon, particularly since it's, well, Word of God or Word of God's Spouse-Creature. ;) But if it josses my headcanon (what, Niko/Moonstream? Never!) I conveniently ignore it. :P
(I actually like the idea of the two of them *grins* Rosethorn/Crane was harder to digest. Though I like it for the complexity it adds to Rosethorn's character. Argh.)
