I also got the same #1 response, over a substantial span of time. Which is obnoxious, because they seem to be able to split hairs over varieties of Buddhism yet do not make readily available a way of distinguishing them from each other (easily).
I also tend to consider myself Daoist (Taoist), which I get approximately the same percentage as you. But I readily admit to being ignorant about it as a whole and it's associated practices.
i have been practicing buddism on and off since i was about 16 (although i consider myself a buddhist, i haven't actually practiced regularly/faithfully since i was about 20, sadly. i just don't have the same resources anymore). my adopted mother is taiwanese. i even lived in taiwan one summer IN a buddhist monastary teaching buddhist nuns english. what an experience!!
