I'm going to show my ignorance now. I would think that as a group, mental health professionals had a code of ethics that precluded making judgements about people because of their sexual preferences. I guess I'm wrong? Wow.
It's unfortunate but the KAP list is very sparse. I have told people to be upfront and prescreen their medical professionals. Ask ahead of time if they are ok with certain things before even stepping through the door.
In the age of the web, most therapists have websites that state upfront their therapeutic approach. Some might not be Kink aware, but most are LGBT issue aware, and if not, you can easily find one.
