Life at assembly

So far, I am tired. Way more walking. Also, there is no sitting time or mats to stand on. On the bright side what they want me to do doesn't seem too hard or stressful at the moment. On the dark side, I am still unsure exactly what my job responsibilities are.

Yay! I'm glad your job is going well. I'm sure the responsibilities will materialize eventually. Or maybe not; what I've learned from TV is that middle management just kind of exists, and nobody's quite sure what they do.

You should get comfy shoes if you have to walk a lot. Maybe two different pairs so you can switch it up. When I worked in Antarctica, I had some Birkenstock shoes, and they were UG-LY, but when I woke up in the morning, and could barely stand up because my feet hurt so bad, when I slipped those bad boys on the pain just melted away. Course, one might reasonably hope for shoes that prevent the foot pain in the first place....

Yep! I bought some comfy shoes, but didn't realize how those few minutes on a fatigue mat really made a difference. So, I am looking to get a pair of inserts that should double help with the feet.

I did manage to ask one of the guys a work what my job duties were supposed to be, and they cleared it up a bit for me: discipline, ensuring parts are correctly switched out when changing over parts, attendance, and helping out the other supervisory staff if they have any need of it.
