Since the last time I wrote, things have improved for the most part. I went on a really fun shopping trip with my mom last weekend. I'm excited about having a "real job" in the future where I get to dress up a little bit and look like an adult. I got some awesome somewhat dressier clothes and a pair of shoes; the sales were excellent. I love stores

aww sounds like things are going well erin - congrats! i hope that you get into downstate. and its great that you have such a good attitude about wanting to be a doctor--that dedication will help you succeed!:)

I cannot believe how much you and my little sister are alike. She is currently at Kettering University in Michigan working for a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and had been leaning towards Biomedical engineering, but now is desperate to get out of there and get to med school to become a surgeon. She is considering neurosurgery. Unlike you though, she is not thrilled by the years of school that would result from such a noble decision. She wants it bad enough though that even a stressful decade is worth it. God I admire people like the two of you. You both are incredible people.

And hang in there with your mom...parents are never sure we know what it is we want until years down the road when we've proven ourselves. Then they say they were behind us all the way and never doubted us. :-) Gotta love them.
