goddamn fucking heinous yellowjackets... if i were supreme ruler, i would ERADICATE THEM FROM THE EARTH!
i'm sure they sure some kind of purpose, but it can't be all that important. die, yellowjackets, die!
i'm gonna go take some benadryl now. :-(

Funny, we just had a yellowjacket in the house up here in Maryland. It's a bit of a change from the flies that one of our shrubberies seems to have attracted, but not really a welcome one.

Get a hot dog. Soak in bug killer. Hang from a wire hanger, somewhere away from the house. Yellowjackets and wasps will be attracted to the nastiness, and consume mass quantities before dropping dead.

We had horrible yellowjacket nests at a house I grew up in - killed 23 of them in my brother's bedroom one night. The hot dog trick worked. You don't want to hang it near the house because it will attract them, but in a far corner of the yard where the dogs won't be penned is a good idear.
