Attention, citizens of Purgatorium.
The Department of Investigative Affairs is now hiring.
I am reforming this organization independent of Shinra or any other faction in Purgatorium. Our purpose is to collect, hoard, and broker information according to general interest as well as contracts submitted by private citizens or organizations. Clients may submit contracts anonymously and we will consider every single submission, but be aware that we offer all our collected information indiscriminately to anyone who meets our price, unless a client wishes to arrange complete confidentiality. The Department is beholden to no single power or interest. We will deal with all sides.
I am keeping an invitation to this organization open to all current and former Turks (and by Turks I'm referring to those who held the position back on Gaia. New hires will be departmental Agents.) To anyone else with a background in investigation, espionage, or relevant abilities in those areas, we're looking for your talents.
Secondly, the Department will also accept contracts of a combat orientation, such as security, bodyguard duty, or mercenary work. Any person with relevant fighting skills is welcome to apply with an eye to working these type of contracts, instead of (or in addition to) investigative types.
Contracts are the business of the client and the accepting Agent(s), and will not normally involve the rest of the Department. Rest assured, a threat assessment done of a specific individual will not be advertised arbitrarily all over the network, nor will word of who requested it, unless another contract that specifically requests that information is submitted to us and accepted. Complete or partial confidentiality for any case is available, of course, for a price. Contracts involving a conflict of interest will be reviewed by me personally. This is not an organization of assassins, nor are we toy soldiers to be bought and pitted against each other by opposing clients.
Thirdly. I wish to offer bounties for any monster carcasses brought in to either the Department Headquarters (the former Shinra building) or to the Curious Cait Item Shop for use as raw materials. Questions about this may be addressed to the Shop's proprietor, Valeria, at pointedly.
Any questions on employment, either regarding being hired or hiring us, may be directed below. I am Il Duce, or Duke, for those of you don't know me, and you can consider that my title. As far as I'm concerned Veld is still the Director of the Turks proper.

Remember, this is all contractual work, so it's not a regular nine to five that your character has to do every day. There'll be paperwork and such of course but everything is meant to be really flexible. Also, I'm perfectly willing to assume that there are NPC contracts going on at the same time so people won't ever have nothing to do ICly. I'll have a post up in Duke's journal where people can actually submit contracts ICly and where characters can check for them. Think of it like the bulletin board listing classifieds. An example of how I plan to format everything can be found here, in the comments.))
